The location was much better than expected; really close to the buzz of Jalan Malioboro. The breakfast was huge and very tasty. The lay-out of the breakfast room is very nice for single travellers. I received a free upgrade from a superior room to a superior suite which was a nice surprise. I had a water dispenser in the suite but they are also in the hallways so you can just fill your bottle whenever you want. And last but not least, even in a friendly country like Indonesia, the staff of Harper Malioboro is OUT OF THIS WORLD. As a single, female traveller, I could not have felt better taken care of. Everyone went out of their way to assist me with whatever I needed, from reception to breakfast staff to housekeeping to bell boy etc. Job perfectly done! I can totally recommend!

Their Jamu is the best - room is clean and very comfortable, with a good amenity, including free mini bar (soft drink and snacks). The hotel also provide mineral water by dispenser on the hallway. - Location is unbeatable, just one block away from famous Malioboro street (it's not exactly in front of Malioboro st), you need to walk around 5-10 minutes, it's not too crowded but very accessible to Malioboro crowd. We spent every night around Malioboro trying different place/foods.

This is the best hotel i’ve stayed in for years. We booked a junior suite and were provided with snacks and drinks which were replenished every day. The service is impeccable, with the staff being so responsive to our multiple requests. We were allowed to check in early when we arrived a couple of hours earlier, and were given welcome drinks too. Upon knowing that we would be checking out early, the hotel also prepared takeaway breakfast for us without us requesting for it, and also allowed us to enjoy the buffet breakfast anyway. The buffet breakfast spread was so large. The bed was really comfortable too.

Very comfortable room and huge range/ selection for breakfast, snacks provided in room were free too! Quality of bread options at the breakfast buffet were so-so, but the local foods provided were pretty good - I liked the fruits, juices and many drinks options. Reception staff were polite and service was good, the only occasional issues were more when the staff could not quite understand the query due to his English language proficiency, but I think the service training & attitude of the reception and restaurant staff were as a whole, excellent.

The breakfast selections were amazingly awesome with good quality of course. All the staffs were so friendly and helpful, Riski and Rosa offered me their new creation of pastry. It was delicious and beautiful. I truly appreciate all the staffs working in this hotel. They all serve guests from the heart. I will definetely return to stay in this hotel again with my big families. The location is superb, I cannot ask for more. The room is clean and comfortable and my little son approved it.
